A Birmingham team helped bring the sweet sound of success to world MotoGP champions Ducati at the International Motorcycle Show at the NEC.

SuiteX, a Digbeth-based company, won the rights to use the world's most trusted Bluetooth 'proximity marketing' system, and used the mobile 'phone prompts to attract extra customers to Ducati's exhibition stand.

The SuiteX team - using their wireless systems to alert consenting visitors of special downloads - have worked with Ducati to provide Bluetooth proximity marketing alerts, offering an original ringtone and message alert for downloading, with the inimitable roar of a Ducati 1098.

World champion Casey Stoners' race bike was on show on the impressive Ducati stand. Using the SuiteX facility, fans were able to download videos and screensavers of their hero, along with animated images of the entire 2008 Ducati model range.

SuiteX, at its Digbeth home, shares the benefit of having sister company The Audio Suite alongside - its leading-edge technology is being used in the SuiteX Bluetooth marketing systems, which provide innovative and new wireless support for sales and exhibition teams around the world.

Suitex Business Development Director Geoff Abbott, said: 'The potential is incredible. We have secured exclusive rights to provide this system in the UK and Ireland, using the best technology in the world.

"The SuiteX systems already attracts bluechip clients who snap-up our highly-responsible approach to Bluetooth proximity marketing as a streamlined way of reaching a new, high-value audience for their products, whilst we work alongside them to carefully enhance their visitor experience.'

Neil Hillman, Managing Director at SuiteX, said: 'It is sensational. There's a huge bonus for marketing companies through the strong 'viral' marketing effect, with fans excited about the download on average passing it on to five more fans. This converts the hundreds downloading from the Bluetooth hotspot on the stand to literally thousands of people actually receiving it".
